Nursing is an amazing profession. But the stagnant pay, lack of pensions, PTO problems, and the dependence on hourly shift work doesn't leave much room for very much else in life. Let's not even start talking about the unsafe patient ratios and back-breaking work.

Working 3 to 5 twelve-hour shifts each week (14 by the time you add in a commute)...
Is that really what you want to spend the next 20 years doing?
For the amount of time we spend earning our degrees and caring for others-we deserve to now put ourselves in better positions financially, spiritually, and emotionally.
Making more money and having more time to do what you love is the answer.
That is why I love the short-term rental industry. It has allowed me to reclaim my time.
